Fully funded Government of Taiwan 4-Year Medical School Scholarships, 2018


ABOUT

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is pleased to announce the release of the I-Shou University School of Medicine for International Students Scholarship Program, offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF), in order to cultivate international medical talents and address the issue of insufficient medical resources. This is a four-year Full Scholarship MD Program for bachelor degree and applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree to apply. All courses offered by this Program are taught in English.


ELIGIBILITY

1. Applicants who have a bachelor’s degree or above conferred by a local or foreign university recognized by the R.O.C. Ministry of Education may apply for admission; those who have studied at the School of Medicine, Dentistry or Chinese Medicine for four years or more may apply with credentials of an equivalent education level. The original diploma (or academic credentials) verified by the local R.O.C. diplomatic mission must be submitted upon registration and enrollment (if the diploma (or academic credentials) is in a language other than Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation verified by the local R.O.C. diplomatic mission or a registered translation agency is required); otherwise, an applicant will be considered disqualified and denied admission.

2. Pursuant to Paragraph 1 of Article 2 in the MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan, applicants who have a foreign nationality, have never had the nationality of the Republic of China* (“R.O.C.”), and do not have an overseas Chinese student status at the time of application may apply for admission.

3. Any matter not mentioned herein should be subject to the MOE Program of 3 Assisting Countries with Diplomatic Relations in Cultivating Medical Talents, the MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan, and the MOE Regulations Regarding the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Academic Credentials for Institutions of Higher Education.

4. This Program is open only to students who have never obtained a physician license.


BENEFITS

The tuition & other required fees, accommodation fees, textbooks and living allowances will be covered by the scholarship granted by the TaiwanICDF (Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund).
